One Less Thing

One Less Thing(KY) Rahy x Theatrical x Fappiano 3yo colt record: 8-0-0-0-0-0
http://derbyfever.com/hr/runtime/prettyhorse.asp?hossnum=65807

It hasn't run a dirt route yet, where is the hope in that?

This was almost the horse I submitted for the Breeder contest, HA, Peek And A Poke turned out to be much better.

I'm thinking 75k MCL next time out.

Anybody got any suggestions? I'll take anything you got.

Thanks

I think you either sit the horse for 6 months or drop to $15-25k area. I fell in hate with Theatrical breeding cause they take so gosh darn long to develop and Rahy doesn't help. I could see where this horse doesn't hit peak til summer of '12, whatever his peak # will be who knows....... If you don't mind me asking what have jock instructions been? I see you get a solid jock all the time, yet colt stays in back of pack, not too far out of it.... I would try and find a distance race with him, say 9-10 furlongs, in which there looks to have a solid pace and have him try coming from dead last 15 lengths out of it ( I will be doing same thing with my 2nd time starter Rahy-Roberto-Lyphard 3yo in week 4204).... If you do drop in for a tag, I doubt very much anyone would touch him for 25k or lower for that matter with the #'s he's tossing out there. Heck I would bet if he doesn't react in a good way to a distance then just drop him to 2k and see if he slides through and is then available for starters.

I would sit the horse for 6 months. Good example is this horse I got from the auction, best spf was 75 as a 3yo, rested for six months and spf jumped to 92 as a 4yo.

nice pick up psyduck and for only $16k... very nice indeed!

here's a Rahy- Nureyev- Nashua I picked up and switched style and surface with. #163901 Scootch.in my Palatine3 stable..... He has been over raced for so long I was not sure what I was gonna do with him in resting or just space out his races. He has run a nice races before so him running the 86 on turf isn't me really seeing something and improving him. I think he belongs with the cheaper animals as of now to be competitive........ here's maybe a closer example to the numbers your horse is throwing up although the age is different and so is the sire.. Palatine3 stable.. #15031 Highred Indy, High Chapparel- Red Ransom- A.P. Indy..... Previous owner tried many different things with her and she just kept running 50's.. I slotted her into a level that she needed to be at and distance that would fit and clicked the 0.00 off the pace riding option. Yes I know she hasn't done much and doubt she ever will, yet I did get a nice improvement with those changes, 75. She is far from ever being an allowance horse and will race in low level claiming until someone else takes her from me....... I am sure the problem you face is all those bp's you used to breed this one. I hate that stuff too.... I have a 5yo female Seeking The Gold- Storm Cat that cost me mucho mucho points in my Palatine stable. Very disappointed to say the least. She is in my stable this long because I had to wait til she was 5 to breed her..... any help on a suitable sire to hook her up with would be appreciated...........

Well, I just bid a 9.5f dirt MSW. That should be enough distance for a deep close
Thanks for the ideas.

Keep the faith Tartar - I think these Rahy - Theatricals may have a future. At least I hope so.

There is about to be One Less Thing in my stable.

12th race coming up in a couple of weeks, 25k mcl and dropping to 2k by 15th race if some unlucky person doesn't claim it from me. Or should I say does me a favour.
